Defense event ride & drive in Hungary
On October 1, 2024, an event for journalists, focusing on defense and security, took place in Szentgotthárd, Hungary.
After a tour of the production plant, the participants had the opportunity to drive or take a ride in different types of vehicles. There was also a practical demonstration of the difference in driving characteristics of a vehicle equipped with an Allison fully automatic transmission and an automated transmission.
Among others, participants had the opportunity to ride vehicles such as Titus from Tatra Trucks, Gamma Komondor, URO VAMTAC, Mercedes Zetros, or ride an Iveco rally Dakar vehicle in the company of the two-time winner of the Dakar Rally, the Dutch racer Gerard De Rooy.
The third-generation Tatra Force CAS 30 firefighting vehicle, in a 6x6 axle configuration, with a body from the Kobit company, also had its successful foreign premiere here, which also attracted a lot of attention.
